NAB supporting Australian businesses as they grow

NAB remains committed to supporting our business customers during the festive season, particularly as they grow from micro enterprises to successful businesses.

Matthew Hardie of Manuko, an organic food company, won the Best Business Success story at the NAB Microenterprise Awards in October.

The success of Matthew’s product saw him rapidly outgrow his home kitchen.

A NAB Microenterprise loan allowed him to hire a dedicated commercial kitchen for a three month period, which in turn meant he could increase production and attract stockists through distributors in Victoria and Western Australia.

The loan allowed Manuko to seize the opportunity to innovate their production processes and they have set their sights firmly set on distribution through specialty and independent supermarkets.

Mathew says the growth he has seen in his business wouldn’t have been possible without NAB.

“I started with one store in the outer suburb. We are now approaching around 100 stores across Australia,” Matthew said.

“The microenterprise loan has been a huge support in developing Manuko and taking it to the next level, and obviously financial support in getting a good business structure together.”
