Specialist team expanded to target growing medium and large business segment
Bankers focussed on originating deals, backed by new support team
Ambition to extend NAB’s leading market share
Australia’s largest business bank is looking to target growth in the medium and large business segments by expanding a specialist team of bankers to originate deals and support a seamless customer experience.
The group brings together expert business bankers from across NAB’s Business & Private Banking (B&PB) and Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) teams into the one flagship Customer Acquisition Team.
Their mandate will be simple: to continue focussing on new opportunities in the growing medium and large business segments.
A bespoke support team will also provide specialist support, such as fast-tracking customer approvals, simplifying onboarding, and bringing whole-of-bank solutions to customers.
This builds on the success of existing teams across NAB’s business and corporate divisions to collectively support customers in the medium and large segments.
NAB Group Executive Corporate & Institutional Banking Cathryn Carver said the new model would reduce the complexity for customers and bankers which can often accompany larger transactions.
“There is no area more important to us and our customers than business banking – our heartland,” Ms Carver said.
“While competition has intensified in recent years, we’ve made it very clear that we’re focussed on extending our market leadership.
“We’re taking the best business banking capability from across NAB and creating a team that will be the cornerstone of what being the most customer-centric company in Australia and New Zealand looks like.”
NAB Group Executive Business & Private Banking Andrew Auerbach said the move would build on its existing market leadership.
