NAB responds to ACCC Residential Mortgage Price Inquiry Final Report
NAB today said the ACCC report into Residential Mortgage Price Inquiry Final Report highlights important issues of interest to all Australians.
NAB Executive General Manager of Consumer Lending, Angus Gilfillan, said since the interim report was released earlier this year, NAB has continued to work closely with the ACCC and will consider all aspects raised in this final report.
“We encourage all Australians whether or not they are with NAB to get in touch with us. We’re here to help,” Mr Gilfillan said.
“We believe the residential mortgage market remains highly competitive and customers have a lot of choice in this low interest rate environment.”
Mr Gilfillan said NAB supports strong competition and is proud to have helped more than 120,000 Australians with their home ownership needs in the past 12 months.
“We’re committed to rewarding our existing customers and rebuilding trust with the community,” he said.
“NAB has a number of options available to existing customers to help them understand what the most competitive offer is available for them, which may include switching to a principal and interest loan or a fixed rate loan at no cost.
“We proactively contact our home loan customers to discuss their needs to ensure their product remains the right one for them.”
