• Former football great returns to local footy, bringing community together for new NAB campaign
• Campaign underlines how NAB supports every goal from NAB AFL Auskick to the big time

NAB has today launched its new AFL campaign for the 2025 footy season, celebrating the way the game brings communities together, with help from AFL great Lance Franklin and a breakout young star.

In scenes that pay homage to his iconic 1,000th career goal, Franklin is this time on the sidelines, watching on as little Auskicker Tully (played by Zen Watts) overcomes adversity in her own landmark moment.

As the ball sails through the posts and her teammates rush towards her, the whole community – including AFLW star and NAB AFL Auskick ambassador Katie Brennan – is swept up in celebration and a huge crowd joins Tully on the pitch.

NAB Chief Marketing Officer Natalie Lockwood said nothing brings communities together to celebrate a goal quite like footy.

“At NAB, we have been supporting every goal, from AFL Auskick to the big time, for more than 20 years,” Ms Lockwood said.

“Footy has an incredible way of uniting us and that really comes to life when we all celebrate a goal, a win or major achievement.

“Not only do we love celebrating on-field goals, we support our customers to achieve their off-field goals every single day, whether that’s buying a home, saving for a dream holiday or starting a new business.

“The campaign captures this spirit in the story of Tully’s journey to kick her first goal, and how the community comes together to celebrate that achievement.”

Former AFL star Lance Franklin said: “The thing I always loved most was celebrating moments with my teammates, family, friends and the fans. Footy gives you so many great memories and friendships.

“Whether you’re just starting out like Tully, kicking a goal at the MCG, or supporting your mates at a local game, footy brings people together.

“The way the footy community got around me when I kicked my 1,000th goal is something I’ll never forget, so to help reimagine it for this campaign has been really special.”

AFL Executive General Manager (Customer and Commercial) Bec Haagsma said: “Footy brings communities together and we can’t do it without our valued partners. NAB’s work within the football community contributes to the spirit of our game from grassroots to the elite.”

“The AFL is proud to have had a strong partnership with NAB for more than 20 years. We thank them for their ongoing support of footy, from NAB Auskick and NAB Superkick, all the way to the elite game including as inaugural naming-rights partner of the NAB AFLW competition, and look forward to another huge year ahead – and to hearing about Tully’s next goal!”

The TVC will debut tonight during Seven’s live Thursday night coverage of the Round 1 AFL clash between Richmond and Carlton, while the full campaign will roll out across channels including out-of-home, digital and social media.

NAB is naming rights partner of NAB AFL Auskick, NAB AFL Superkick, NAB AFL Goal of the Year, the inaugural naming-rights partner of NAB AFL Women’s competition and a major partner of AFL Men’s competition.
