  • Disaster Relief Grants of $1,000 are being made available for eligible NAB customers in impacted areas.

NAB is providing $1,000 grants and additional financial relief to customers severely impacted by the recent severe southern coast storms that impacted south east Queensland.

The grants will help NAB customers who have suffered major damage to their home, property or business, cover emergency expenses.

NAB Retail Executive, Peter Atkins, said a range of support measures, from grants to loan payment deferrals and other relief measures, were in place to help NAB customers impacted by the storms.

“The recent storms have had a significant impact on many communities and businesses in south east Queensland,” Mr Atkins said.

“We know this is an incredibly difficult time, and help is available. We’ve put in place a range of support measures, including $1,000 disaster relief grants, loan payment deferrals and other assistance options, to help ease the pressure.”

Assistance is available for eligible NAB customers in the City of Moreton Bay local government area.

Further support is available for NAB customers directly impacted, including:

  • Loan deferral or reduced repayment arrangements for home, personal and some business loans.

  • Hardship support for customers struggling to make minimum monthly payments on personal loans, home loans or credit cards.

  • Deferring upcoming credit card payments.

  • Waiving and/or refunding fees and charges, including merchant terminal fees and early access fees to term deposits.

  • Allianz is operating a dedicated Catastrophe Claims team to support NAB insurance policyholders. If you are an existing NAB insurance policyholder, you can call the Natural Disaster Claims Line on 1300 555 013. You can also lodge a claim online at any time via the Allianz Claim form

Customers affected by the storms can apply for a Disaster Relief Grant online. For financial hardship assistance, or if you are unable to apply online, you can call NAB on:

Be aware of Frauds and Scams

During this time, customers are reminded to stay alert to potential scams. Criminals may use events like this natural disaster as an opportunity to impersonate well-known organisations including banks, insurance or telecommunication providers and government agencies.
