NAB has been named Australia’s Best Small Business Bank for the fourth-year running, reinforcing its position as the country’s leading bank for small businesses.

The recognition at the Global SME Banking Innovation Awards reflects NAB’s ongoing focus to design experiences that meet the needs of small business owners. 

NAB’s Small Business team supports more than 850,000 small business customers across Australia, backed by specialist bankers and digital capabilities.

NAB Executive for Small Business Krissie Jones said the award reflected the bank’s focus on delivering better products, services and support for customers.

“Small businesses are the engine room of Australia’s economy, and at NAB, we bank one in four SMEs,” Ms Jones said. 

“Everything we do is designed around the needs of small businesses to make banking simpler, faster and more relevant, so customers can spend less time on admin and more time running their business. 
 
“We are proud to partner with small businesses around Australia at every stage and support their innovation and ambitions.”

NAB has continued to support small businesses through initiatives focused on proactive customer engagement and acting on feedback to improve service and experiences.

The bank proactively contacted twice as many small business customers in 2025 compared to the previous year, strengthening relationships and uncovering thousands of ways to support customer needs along the way.
