  • Disaster Relief Grants of $1,000 are being made available for eligible* NAB customers in impacted areas.
  • Loan deferrals, reduced repayment arrangements and hardship options available.

NAB is providing $1,000 grants and additional financial relief to customers impacted by the Northern Territory Big Rivers flooding.

The grants will help NAB customers who have suffered significant damage to their home, farm or business, cover emergency expenses.

NAB Retail Executive NT, Beata Brennan, said a range of support measures, from grants to loan payment deferrals and other relief measures, were in place to help NAB customers left devastated by the floods.

“These floods are having an impact on families, businesses and communities across the Northern Territory’s Victoria Daly region,” Ms Brennan said.

“We know people need help as quickly as possible. That’s why we’re providing $1,000 Disaster Relief Grants to assist with immediate essentials such as temporary accommodation, clothing and food. We’ve also put additional support measures in place, including loan repayment deferrals and fee waivers, to help relieve financial pressure during what is a very difficult time for many affected communities.”

Disaster Relief Grants for impacted customers in the local government areas of Victoria Daly will remain open until March 12. Impacted customers can apply for a Disaster Relief Grant online. If you are unable to apply online, you can call NAB on:

Business: 1300 769 650 (8am-5pm, Mon-Fri AEST/AEDT)

Further support is available for NAB customers directly impacted, including:

Be aware of Fraud and Scams

During this time, customers are reminded to stay alert to potential scams. Criminals may use events like this natural disaster as an opportunity to impersonate well-known organisations including banks, insurance or telecommunication providers and government agencies. NAB will never send customers links in unexpected text messages, or ask customers for personal information like passwords or pins.

* All applications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the NAB Assist team to determine eligibility.
