NAB announces Disaster Relief Grants for customers affected by flooding across central Queensland.
Customers encouraged to contact the bank when ready to discuss available financial hardship assistance.
NAB is providing $1,000 grants and additional financial relief to customers impacted by the recent flooding across central Queensland.
The grants will help NAB customers who have suffered major damage to their home, property or business, cover emergency expenses.
“Communities across Bundaberg and surrounding areas are dealing with significant flooding, and we know the impacts will be felt well into the future,” NAB Executive Pete Atkins said.
“Right now, people need practical support and fast. That’s why we’re providing $1,000 Disaster Relief Grants to help with immediate essentials like accommodation, clothing and food, alongside measures such as loan repayment deferrals and fee waivers to help ease financial pressure during this difficult time.”
Disaster Relief Grants for impacted customers will remain open until 9th of April. Customers in the impacted areas who have been affected by the floods can apply online*. If you are unable to apply online, you can call NAB on:

Further support is available for NAB customers directly impacted, including:
Loan deferral or reduced repayment arrangements for home, personal and some business loans.
Hardship support for customers struggling to make minimum monthly payments on personal loans, home loans or credit cards.
Deferring upcoming credit card payments.
Waiving and/or refunding fees and charges, including merchant terminal fees and early access fees to term deposits.
Allianz is operating a dedicated Catastrophe Claims team to support NAB insurance policyholders. If you are an existing NAB insurance policyholder, you can call the Natural Disaster Claims Line on 1300 555 013. You can also lodge a claim online at any time via the Allianz Claim form.
Be aware of Fraud and Scams
During this time, customers are reminded to stay alert to potential scams. Criminals may use events like this natural disaster as an opportunity to impersonate well-known organisations including banks, insurance or telecommunication providers and government agencies. NAB will never send customers links in unexpected text messages, or ask customers for personal information like passwords or pins.
