The Village highlights benefits of co-working for small business

NAB’s success in creating effective co-working spaces for its small business and community customers was recognised again today in an Australian Financial Review feature story.

The Village, NAB’s award winning co-working community hub available free to all our small business customers, was referenced in the context of new data from research company IDC that show the total number of mobile workers in the world is expected to reach 1.3 billion.

NAB Small Business customer Adam Marks, Bress founder and winemaker was quoted as saying: “It’s a good space for me. I come in and find that [concentration] zone and off we go [working].”

The article also looked at how businesses can benefit from working alongside other, different businesses, including how Mr Marks is now producing a coffee-table book about his winery with the help of an independent editor he met in The Village.

The Village is located at 700 Bourke St Melbourne. Offering the flexible, user-friendly space is part of a broader strategy for NAB to give small business customers more than just banking services. The Village currently has 1400 community and small business members.
