After spending time on the road meeting many business owners across Australia, NAB Group Executive, Business and Private Banking, Rachel Slade has written to customers after the first few months in the role.

Ms Slade acknowledged that while each customer has their own story, she was impressed by the overall resilience of businesses, and encouraged those needing support to get in touch so NAB can help.

The following is a copy of the letter that has been sent to NAB business bank customers.

Hi Desra,

I’m Rachel, the new Group Executive, Business and Private Banking at NAB. It’s a real honour to lead Australia’s largest business bank^ which, at its very core, is built on strong customer relationships.

In my first few months in the role, I’ve made it a priority to get on the road to meet customers. So far, I’ve clocked up more than 10,000km meeting many business owners across Australia – and I’ve loved every minute.

While each customer has their own story, I’ve been really impressed by the overall resilience of businesses. There’s no doubt it’s tough out there. We know rising costs continue to place pressure on Aussie households and businesses. If you’re struggling, please get in touch so we can help.

We’re here to help you succeed

Our focus remains on modernising our bank and investing in technology that will save you time and simplify how you do business. You can see more on that here.

We’re also doing everything we can to protect you against cyber threats and scams. From investing in technology and people to providing practical resources and tips to help keep you safe.

There are many businesses eager to explore growth opportunities that are right for them, and we’re here for that too. We’ve seen a steady increase in finance for new and used equipment with exciting growth in business finance for green equipment, up 80% in the past six months.

For your everyday business banking needs, our team is here to provide you with the right products and services that can help you make payments, get paid and manage your day-to-day business finances simply. Regardless of where you’re at in the business cycle – be that ready to grow or needing help – it’s important you know we’re only a phone call away. Let us know how we can be our best for you.

Thank you for banking with NAB

I know it takes unwavering dedication to run a business. I also know how important businesses are to families and communities. With that in mind, I wish you and your business all the very best for the new financial year, and I look forward to meeting many more of you as I settle in.

Warm regards,

Rachel Slade
