NAB appoints new directors to superannuation trustee NULIS

NAB today announced the appointment of Alan Schoenheimer and Andrew Gale as new non-executive directors to its superannuation fund trustee, NULIS Nominees (Australia) Limited.

The NULIS board is responsible for NAB’s superannuation funds, including the MLC Super Fund and products such as Plum, MasterKey Super, MasterKey and Wrap.

“I welcome Andrew Gale and Alan Schoenheimer to the NULIS board of directors. Andrew and Alan are highly experienced and knowledgeable, with strong backgrounds in financial services,” said Nicole Smith, Chair of NULIS Nominees (Australia) Limited.

“Both will be great assets to the fund and make valuable contributions to the governance of Australia’s largest retail super fund, and deliver a great experience to its members.”

Alan Schoenheimer – biography

Alan Schoenheimer has a 25-year history in financial services, mainly superannuation and investments. Most recently he held roles as Head of International and Chief Executive Asia Pacific for Russell Investments. Prior to his career in financial services, Alan worked in petrochemicals in the UK, USA and South Africa, and for consultancy McKinsey & Co.

He is a member of the MasterKey and Plum Investment Committee, the Super Wrap and IDPS Investment Committee as well as Chairman of Wealth Defender Equity Pty Limited. Alan holds an MBA from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) from the University of Queensland.

Andrew Gale – biography

Andrew Gale has worked in financial services for 35 years, including in roles as Executive Director of Chase Corporate Advisory, CEO and Managing Director of Count Financial Limited, and Managing Partner of Deloitte Actuaries & Consultants. Andrew is an independent non-executive director of the NAB Advice & Licenses Board and a member of its Investment Committee. He is also a member of the Super Wrap and IDPS Investment Committee and the MasterKey and Plum Investment Committee.

Andrew is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Institute of Actuaries of Australia. He holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Arts (Actuarial) from Macquarie University.

The appointment of the two directors takes immediate effect.
