NAB Asset Servicing Appointment

National Australia Bank today announced the appointment of John Comito as Executive General Manager (EGM), Asset Servicing.

NAB Group Executive Product and Markets, Antony Cahill, said: “John is a talented executive who brings 30 years of diverse experience to this role and has an outstanding track record of delivery across NAB.

“John’s experience in leading large teams and managing client relationships, coupled with his strong finance and risk background, makes him the ideal person for this role.

“As a previous EGM Financial Institutions Group, John has a deep understanding of the key commercial considerations of our customers as well as the broader product solutions that NAB offers.

“I look forward to working with John and the Asset Servicing team as we continue to focus on delivering a great service to our customers,” he said.

John’s appointment follows 21 years’ experience at NAB. His most recent role was as Chief Risk Officer, Product & Markets. Prior to this John was EGM Financial Institutions Group and International Branches (London and New York), accountable for providing solutions to Banks, Diversified Financials, Funds Managers and Insurance companies, as well as governance and oversight of the London and New York operations.

John also held the role of EGM, Structuring & Investments in which he managed a diverse range of specialist functions including, Portfolio Management, Syndications and Structured Finance. In that role he successfully led the team through the particularly challenging time of the global financial crisis. Prior to that role John was the CFO of the Wholesale Bank.

John is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has completed the Advanced Management Leadership Program at Harvard University.
