Australians can now enhance the value of their everyday spending by earning and redeeming points on some of the best value products, including access to any seat, on any airline, at any time, through NAB’s new proprietary rewards program launched today.

Through NAB Rewards, customers can earn while they spend and then redeem points on more than 1,500 goods and services, access to a huge range of flights in and out of Australia through a new strategic partnership with Australia’s number one online travel agency Webjet, and exclusive offers through NAB’s partnership with the AFL.

Customers can also make donations by redeeming their points to a record number of more than 80 participating charities.

NAB Rewards allows customers to earn up to the value of three points for every dollar spent. Customers can choose from one of three credit card options: Classic, Platinum and Business.

NAB Executive General Manager of Consumer Lending, Angus Gilfillan, said the bank was proud to deliver a competitive rewards program to Australians.

“Our customers are our top priority, and this is just one way we want to demonstrate how much we value their relationship with NAB,” Mr Gilfillan said.

“We’ve worked long and hard to secure some of the best offers for our customers.

“NAB Rewards gives customers more flexibility, control and choice so they can be rewarded the way they want.

“Customers also have the ability to access and keep track of their rewards program account through their mobile banking app,” Mr Gilfillan said.

NAB is also the only major bank in Australia to offer customers the ability to earn triple points when making purchases overseas or through Webjet, and double points at major hardware and department stores.

“We understand that people want value for money, and NAB Rewards will help them get more out of their everyday spending, as well as help them enjoy some big ticket items, like a family holiday,” Mr Gilfillan said.

NAB Rewards also provides a value-for-money option for small to medium businesses to invest in employee performance and satisfaction, by redeeming points on a range of rewards including staff training courses and employee recognition items.

NAB Rewards Highlights:

Webjet

Through our strategic partnership with Australia’s number one online travel agency, NAB Rewards customers can book any seat, on any airline, at any time. Webjet enables customers to compare, combine and book the best domestic and international travel deals worldwide. Through NAB Rewards, customers can redeem points and book their next holiday from the comfort of their home or desk. Customers can also triple their points by booking flights through Webjet.

Webjet Managing Director, John Guscic, said the connection with NAB Rewards is about continuing to add value to customers.

“This partnership connects our travel and technology expertise with NAB card holders wanting more from their points,” Mr Guscic said.

“In the confusing travel rewards space, being able to earn and redeem points on any flight from Webjet’s broad range of airline partners is exceptional value for the NAB Rewards customer.”

AFL

Building on our proud partnership with the AFL and key sponsorship of the inaugural AFL Women’s, customers have access to a range of exclusive AFL offers, memorabilia, memberships and tickets.

AFL General Manager Commercial Operations, Darren Birch, said NAB and the AFL had a long standing partnership.

“We were more than happy to work with NAB on this great initiative to reward NAB customers who are fans of our great game with exclusive offers and benefits.”

Charity donations

As a strong supporter of workplace giving, we’re making it easier for all Australians to support the causes that matter to them. With the largest list of charity partners for any Australian bank loyalty program, customers can use their points to create positive change by donating to one of more than 80 charities aligned with NAB Rewards. NAB works with Good2Give, a not-for-profit workplace giving platform, to enable the efficient delivery of donated money.

Good2Give CEO Lisa Grinham said she welcomed NAB’s commitment to contribute in a positive way to communities in need.

“Our mission is to make giving easy, efficient and rewarding which is what is so great about the NAB Rewards program,” Mr Grinham said.
