NAB is opening up it’s technology environment to team members and developers this weekend for a competition to innovate for customers.

Participants will compete to create a product, app or prototype over 24 hours and then present their idea with prizes awarded to the winning teams.

NAB is partnering with Intel and Amazon Web Services to provide access to nabAPI in a managed environment.

“NAB iDAY will see our team members, contractors and partners compete to build products that benefit customers by leveraging the nabAPI,” Mr Boyle said.

“This is a strong demonstration of NAB’s culture of innovation, the desire to bring dynamic and driven talent in our organisation to innovate for customers.”

The most innovative ways of improving the customer experience in the Health and Agribusiness sectors will win on the day.

Participants will be encouraged to build applications on AWS environments to enable them to rapidly create new products and applications during event.

Partners Intel, Amazon Web Services and Visa are supporting to run this event.

“We’d like to commend NAB for opening up its APIs for this event. This sort of open collaborative thinking is helping to drive innovation across industries and will benefit customers in ways not yet imagined,” Andrew Ridley, Industry Development Manager, Intel ANZ.

Contestants are allowed to research and plan for the concepts and ideas beforehand. They can compete by themselves, or be part of a team of up to four people.

“NAB has always has a bold digital vision, and this is another example of a forward thinking enterprise driving business transformation with cloud computing,” said Ed Lenta, Managing Director, AWS Australia and New Zealand.

“AWS is proud to support the NAB iDay with the necessary cloud applications and environments to help drive innovation.”

The event will be held 6th December to 7th December at the York Butter Factory, Melbourne, VIC.
