One of Australia’s largest wealth managers MLC has announced the appointment of Alicia Gregory, as Head of Private Equity.

“We’re very pleased to have appointed someone with Alicia’s experience in both leading and executing deals in the major private equity markets,” said Jonathan Armitage, Chief Investment Officer, MLC.

“The team has an outstanding record of delivering strong returns since the MLC Private Equity program’s inception in 1997, and importantly, investors in our multi-asset MLC Inflation Plus and MLC Horizon portfolios have benefitted considerably,” he said.

Alicia has worked within the MLC Private Equity program for the last 11 years and returned to Australia in January this year, after having spent three years in London as Head of Europe, Private Equity MLC.

Alicia has over 17 years’ experience in the financial services sector. Her career includes investment research with the ThreeSixty Investment Strategy & Research team and prior to that she worked at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in various research and credit related roles.

“I’m extremely excited to be leading the team of one of Australia’s oldest and most established private equity programs, said Ms Gregory. “I look forward to continuing the great work the team has been doing and pursuing more top-tier opportunities, which have defined the MLC Private Equity program for over 25 years.” Mrs Gregory said.

Alicia holds a Bachelor of Business from University of Technology in Sydney, is a CFA charterholder and has completed the General Management Programme at INSEAD.
