Susan Gosling named Investment Manager of the Year

MLC’s Head of Investments, Dr Susan Gosling has been named Investment Manager of the Year at the 2014 Women in Financial Services Awards overnight.

The Money Management and Super Review Women in Financial Services Awards celebrate female leaders across the financial services industry, with the Investment Manager of the Year award recognising the outstanding contribution of investment fund managers.

Dr Gosling has more than 26 years investment management experience and has been MLC’s Head of Investments for over a decade, where she oversees $50 billion in funds under management. Susan is the architect of MLC’s market leading scenarios-based approach to asset allocation used in MLC’s multi-asset portfolios – the MLC Inflation Plus, MLC Horizon and MLC Index Plus portfolios.

Most recently, Susan and her team were responsible for developing the award-winning MLC Inflation Plus portfolios, comprising three actively managed portfolios which aim to deliver investors above inflation returns and peace of mind. MLC Inflation Plus was also recently named best multi-asset real return fund of the year.

“I’m honoured to be acknowledged by the Women in Financial Services Awards,” Dr Gosling said.

“These awards are an opportunity to recognise the achievements of women in the industry, and also an opportunity to ensure we continue to encourage more women to seek out leadership roles infinancial services.”
