NAB has been announced as a winner of the “Excellent Banking App” award in the Mozo Experts Choice 2023 Awards.

The category judges a wide range of features across 74 banking apps and awards the app with leading functionality and a seamless banking experience to help customers better manage their money.

This year, the judges compared a number of banking app functions, including push notifications, depth of information about individual transactions, better visibility and control of accounts, and improved categorisation of transactions and search functions.

NAB Executive, Digital Channels, Hugh Roberts, said consistent improvements to the NAB app was delivering a better banking experience for the banks three million active app users.

“Our digital channels continue to grow in popularity with 74% of customers now exclusively banking digitally with us. That’s why it’s so important that we make the experience as simple, easy and safe as possible,” Mr Roberts said.

“We’re pleased to see NAB’s app being recognised as such a valuable banking tool for our customers, particularly at a time when digital engagements are so high. It’s recognitions like these that show our commitment in providing our customers with the best banking digital experience possible.”

In the past year, NAB has added several features to its app to deliver an improved customer experience, including:

  • Push notifications for low balance and overdrawn accounts.
  • Improved chat service. NAB’s award-winning chat service is now asynchronous, allowing customers to securely message customer service agents 24/7, when it is convenient for them, and not have to wait for a response. NAB’s chat service was awarded the winner of the 2020 Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards.
