City of Whittlesea residents and businesses will benefit from a new National Australia Bank Business Banking centre in Epping, which officially opens today.

The centre brings together the previous Thomastown and Greensborough business centres into one new state of the art site- the largest Business Banking site outside of the CBD

The new site in Graystone Court, Epping will better service customers in the city’s growing north business precinct.

The City of Whittlesea is undergoing substantial transformation, with a culturally diverse labour force, excellent road transport links and a diversifying economy. It’s one of Melbourne’s major growth areas, with significant future growth expected.

The new location offers greater convenience for customers given the concentration of retailers and businesses.

Cindy Batchelor, Executive General Manager NAB Business, said Epping’s industrial districts form part of one of Victoria’s most significant and productive construction, transport and manufacturing zones.

“As a major source of employment for the whole north region of metropolitan Melbourne, we identified a growing need for our services in Epping and surrounding suburbs,” she said.

“There are over 190,000 residents, 11,600 local businesses and approximately 91,000 workers operating in the City of Whittlesea.”

“This industrial precinct is growing, echoing strong business conditions for the state more broadly.”

“It’s a good time for business and it is crucial we have a strong presence to support customers with all their banking needs.”

This business banking centre is part of a wider customer commitment to make banking simpler and easier.

“As a bank we are responding to changing customer needs and preferences,” Cindy said.

“Our customers want greater control over their finances, particularly via digital channels, but they still want a face-to-face conversation when making big decisions like starting up a business.”

“Customers who step inside the Epping Business Banking centre can conduct their own business in the common areas, whilst having access to teleconference, printing and wifi facilities. This centre will give the majority of its floor space, >50%, to its customers.”

An official opening will be held on November 8th, 2016.
